KVH and Datron Agree to Terminate Litigation
MIDDLETOWN, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 31, 2000--KVH Industries, Inc., (NASDAQ:KVHI) today announced that KVH and Datron/Transco Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Datron Systems Incorporated (NASDAQ:DTSI), have agreed to terminate the litigation between them. KVH had filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Datron/Transco in February 2000. Based upon new information since the suit was filed, KVH determined that Datron's DBS 4500 does not infringe the KVH patent and that Datron is not in violation of a 1999 agreement between the companies. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to the prior agreement.
KVH Industries utilizes its proprietary fiber optic and sensor technologies to produce navigation and mobile satellite communications systems for commercial, military, marine and land mobile applications.
